Nvu WYSIWYG-editor project
** No, the headline is not misspelled, though it makes for a slightly dry phun (which wasn't intended... really ;) **
Lindows.com, Inc. have founded an own open source project to develop "A complete Web Authoring System for Linux Desktop users to rival programs like FrontPage and Dreamweaver", and it is named Nvu.
It's built upon Mozilla Composer core and primarily targeted for linux desktops (to begin with).
It was as browsing some linux news site when I happened upon an article where obviously Microsoft lawyers in the dispute on Lindows founded MSfreePC.com made a sidepoint that some pages of the Lindows.com website had been created with Microsoft's Frontpage. That seems to have initiated this move that should be welecome to those who are on or like to switch to a linux desktop (like myself).
BTW If you want more info than what's on the nvu.com and nvudev.com sites, the developer (Daniel Glazman fom france, previously mozilla composer developer and netscape employee) has a lot of progress reports in his personal blog and some backgrounds on the project at his new company (under which the work is preformed).
